About Guruji
Sri Abhilash Guruji

The bridge between Devi and her devotees
A life given to the service of Devi Amma
Sri Abhilash Guruji is the son of Hanumanth Rao, who served in the Khanapur Police Department. Their family deity was Saundatti Yellamma. From early childhood his path unfolded through dreams, visions and sacred experiences, and he received the traditions of worship from Devi Amma herself.
Under his care the Shri Mukhya Pran Devar Saheeth Shri Yakshi Chandika Durga Parameshwari Temple has become a centre of worship, well-being and spiritual awakening. He has dedicated his life to serving the Goddess and her devotees, carrying her messages of protection, prosperity, courage and grace.

Guruji’s journey
01
A devoted child
Deeply spiritual from a very young age, he began serving the family deity upon the sacred wall at his grandmother's word.
02
Taught in dreams
The Goddess appeared in his dreams and, night after night, taught him the sacred procedures of her worship.
03
Upanayana
Sri Satyatma Teertha of Uttaradi Math conducted his Upanayana. The Vedas and Shastras began to reveal themselves to him.
04
The Saptashati
Guided by the Devi to recite the Narayani Stuti, he found Vedic mantras and scripture flowing through him without effort.
05
Sent back to serve
Declared dead after a grave illness, he was returned to his body by the Goddess: “You still have much work to accomplish.”
06
The temple is established
After an Ashtamangala Prashna by Sri Satyanarayana Bhat of Kerala, the Goddess was established according to sacred tradition.
07
Darshan through Guruji
Today Devi Amma grants darshan and guidance through him, directing rituals, adornments and offerings herself.
